Ulithi. Falalaup. departure day

The above picture is a WWII Japanese tank in the sea at the eastern end of the runway.
.

Daniel and I walked around most of the island one afternoon. At high tide. Yes, we got wet. Part of the shoreline was lost to the Typhoon Hagiput. But shoes, socks and pants try fast.

Daniel on the walk with me. Next time, we will complete the circle in the opposite direction.

A pet chicken.

Truck load of empty cases and personal supplies. A very good week and time well spent. I loved it.

Don't like security at the airports at home? What if you were weighed? The  good news is that we can be weighed with all of our carry on baggage. If someone weighs more than what they want, just blame it on the heavy backpack. Or thick flipflops.

Melissa and her promise daughter.

Even the dog gets tired waiting for the plane.

Melissa showing the girls how to  take a picture with an iPad. Technology spreads fast.

Having fun before we leave.

Daniel showing them how his smart phone works.

Back to the big city of Colonia, Yap.  There are still a lot of pictures to add from Ulithi. And will post about my visit to the Forbidden Island - Rumung.
