05.09.15 Farewell to the Canvasback Missions Urology Team

We were most fortunate to have a very nice Urology team visit here for two weeks. The co-Founder of Canvasback, Jackie Spence, is a dynamic and delightful lady and  I so enjoyed meeting her and working with her. She brought with her a team of 7 talented and dedicated professionals that were really a pleasure to have on the island. And we will have one betel nut project to do! They may be a negative impact on betel nut chewing and urinary incontinence.

The governor graciously hosted the farewell dinner ar ESA, but could not attend. This is a really nice local restaurant on the lagoon and a place that I like to visit (best fish curry and hamburger on the island). They did an excellent job of preparing the menu - fish,  chicken, pork, rice, potatoe salad, a wonderful green salad with tomatoes, fruit salad, and we even had homemade cheesecake for dessert. Yes, it is all about food, especially when things you are used to eaing are either nothere  or only here sometimes.

In addition to Jackie, the team included Drs. Andrew Giem, Ronald Im and Carl Tinlin. Nurses and assistants included Mariamela Giem, Rene Byod, Twilia Turner and Cheryl Bowie. All very special people.

Here we are at ESA for the farewell dinner.
