09.2015 Rondon Ridge birding

Now this was a great birding area. In total we saw seven different types of bird of paradise in addition to approximately 50 new birds for me. I did expect more different birds, but this was still a great experience. Here are a few of my favorite bird shots - some are from far awy, others a little closer.

View of local house.

The Trans Nuigini Tours director's house. A magnificent house with spectacular views.

Coocoodoves.

Robin.

Coocoodoce with a wing damaged by a kite (predator bird).

Walked through a typical village with local houses.

King of Saxony

Joseph Ano, an excellent birder, naturalist and grows orchids on the grounds.
