07.10.15. a few more pictures

Since I have a really good internet connection, I am taking advantage of writing my blog and getting up to date.

Here are some more pictures taken at Avant Garments Factory. They make chef uniforms and was really interesting to watch the inspectors. They have high standards in this factory, I am pleased to report. The owner was here and was very helpful. He even sat at the table to learnhow to do the blood tests. We evaluated almost 700 workers here over three days. (1200 workers at Envoy  in 2 days.)

This was a canoe on the wall of the BRAC Inn. Represents men rowing.

All of these pictures are from the sessions done at Avant Garments. There were photographers there to document the work. The health care of factory workers will be important to both the health of the workers and job security if you think in terms that the factories must be open to employ people.

Some of the pictures were taken when we went out to eat on the 4th of July.

An extremely role and meets the industry safety standards. There is also new funding I saw in the paper to increase compliance with safety regulations. So, Our organization HAEFA, is helping them be compliant with health care.

Avant employee. She was one of two women who registered the workers.
