11.10.2104 Sailing race

Yap Catholic High School with an American volunteer teacher, one young man high school student (Cisco) with previous expertise and two high school girls (DC and Rena) won the medium size outrigger race! Congratulations! They did a great job, coming ahead of an experienced crew. And - this is the very first time there has been a female crew.

It was a beautiful day - bright clear morning. Wind did pick up by race time.

Parade of sailboats.

Little fish. It does take a long time for the sail boats to get back to the bridge!

Cisco wearing the team shirt "Flying Proas". They are getting ready to race.

Rena and DC.

Lupo.

The starting line is much different from home. The boats hover until  the signal "Sails up" and then they are off.
