Busy day today. Had the opportunity to meet with the Governor, Lt. Governor and Cabinet of Yap. Presented our hospital preparedness plan, the strengths and challenges that will face the hospital and island if indeed we do have a case of Ebola. They were very receptive but I don't think too used to women taking the lead.
Also, I posted a picture of four fishing boats over the weeknd. Turns out they are from VietNam and iegally fishing sea cucumber from within our fishing boundaries. The police went after them in two boats and rounded up four. Not bad.
Here it is again in case you missed it. Environmental Health is worrid about possible rats and cockroaches escaping the boats and invading Yap. The police are worried that the prisoners will escape. Apparently rogue boats were put out on moorings away from th dock and they escaped. One of ouor doctors had been called to examine the men onboard. All appeared healthy he said.
These are pictures of the dancers from Rull, many from the village where I watched from time to time. You may recognize little Cia, who is two. When she saw me she remembered my name. It is the camera that had her interest.
