.... until it stops raining. We had quite a few downpours today and I was out in a couple of them. You see the dark clouds and sometimes it rains and sometimes it doesn't so you just go and take your chances. There is a new storein town at the end of the lagoon so I had to check it out. While on my way the rain hit - hard, so I ducked into a hardware store. Long story short the young man told me he went to Guam for the Micronesia canoe games with four other people from Yap and picked up a crew there. Out of 50 teams, Yap came in third! My plan is to paddle starting in January so I nowknow who to contact for a spot.
There was a sale at the store so I bought lights for my tree. Now it feels like Christmas. I aksed a little boy if he thought Santa would find me in Yap, he thought he would - As long as I was good.
Had dinner tonight with Sandra and George from the typhoon story. Good night, lots of stories. We are also planning our Christmas Eve - slim pickings unless the ship arrives in time. But it will be fun just to have dinner and friends over for the dinner.
